The agreement between Ukraine and the United Kingdom in the field of security includes cooperation in sanctions policy, cybersecurity, documentation of war crimes, and holding those responsible accountable. Spokesperson for the Security Service of Ukraine, Artem Dekhtyarenko, shared this information in an interview with "United News"

"Considering the achievements of this agreement, we can also talk about prospective directions for the development of this cooperation we currently have. Firstly, it involves strengthening cooperation in the field of sanctions policy, preventing the circumvention of sanctions by the Russian Federation. It also includes support for initiatives in cybersecurity, intensification of collaboration in documenting and holding accountable the military-political leadership of the Russian Federation and other criminals committing crimes on the territory of Ukraine. In summary, within its competence, the Security Service of Ukraine will implement all relevant security assurances outlined in the document," said Artem Dekhtyarenko.

He noted that practically all aspects of security are highlighted in the agreement.

"The Security Service has a high level of interaction with the special services of the United Kingdom, and this cooperation is carried out in the areas of counterintelligence, military counterintelligence, information security, especially in countering the intelligence-subversive activities of the Russian special services, as well as concerning cyber threats and the fight against international terrorism," added Dekhtyarenko.

Currently, according to his words, cooperation between the intelligence services of Ukraine and the United Kingdom is not limited to the exchange of significant information only. SSU employees participate in training and educational programs organized by the British side, which positively influences the development of the operational and combat capabilities of the SSU and allows the security service to evolve considering the best practices and international standards.
