The future joint investment fund between Ukraine and the United States will have the right to invest both in the development of mineral deposits and in infrastructure projects.

This was announced on television by Deputy Minister of Economy and Ukraine's Trade Representative, Taras Kachka.

The official reminded that Ukraine and the U.S. plan to establish a joint investment fund.

"This fund, as a financial instrument, will have the preferential right to invest in a wide range of assets in Ukraine as soon as the opportunity arises. First and foremost, this concerns mineral resources, but we are also interested in American investments in infrastructure: roads, ports, and energy," Kachka said.

He emphasized the need to ensure the most efficient operation of the future fund, with a clear corporate structure and decision-making mechanism.

"This in no way means transferring (infrastructure assets) directly to the fund. It simply means that we are enabling the fund to invest in projects and create conditions for generating returns," Kachka assured.
