Tekom Agro Group plans to build its own UAN (urea-ammonium nitrate solution) production plant, according to a company statement.

The northern cluster, specifically Yasni Zory LLC in the Podilsk district of the Odessa region, is being considered for construction. This is the largest farm in the agro-holding system, cultivating 16,000 hectares, and there is a significant need for fertilizers.

Additionally, the location offers good logistics for transportation to other company enterprises.

"UAN is currently at the peak of its popularity — every year, the consumption rate in our farms is growing. This is due to their higher efficiency, and because of the lack of moisture and critically high temperatures in the soil-climatic zones where all four of our enterprises operate, the use of complex liquid fertilizers, including urea-ammonium mixture, is extremely relevant," said Viktor Bykov, head of the agro-holding.

Tekom Agro Group plans to invest not only in fertilizer production but also in the development of technologies and equipment to reduce reliance on external suppliers.

"We plan to use innovative technology that ensures a uniform structure of the finished product, high quality, and long-term storage. With climate change, we are moving to different temperature conditions for cultivation, which, accordingly, dictates different business conditions. A meeting was held at the head office with representatives of the contracting company, where we discussed our plans and the next production steps in this direction," added Bykov.
