The Air Force has revealed details of the nighttime drone attack on Ukraine

On the night of August 16, Russian occupation forces attacked the port infrastructure of the Odessa region using strike UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type.

According to the Air Force's statement, launches of "Shahed" drones were carried out in multiple waves from the southeast direction (Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Chauda).

Through the efforts and capabilities of the Air Force in cooperation with the anti-aircraft defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 13 enemy UAVs were destroyed within the Odessa and Mykolaiv regions.

 

At 1:20 AM, an air alarm was declared in several regions due to the threat of enemy drone strikes. The Air Force reported that kamikaze drones were flying over the Black Sea waters heading south towards the Odessa region. At 3:00 AM, there was a report of a second wave of drone attacks, also originating from the Black Sea waters towards the Odessa region. It was also reported that a large group of kamikaze drones was moving towards Izmail.
