The American helicopter manufacturer Bell Helicopter is considering the possibility of investing in production in Ukraine.
This was announced on Facebook by Oleksii Sobolev, Ukraine’s Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, following a working meeting with company representatives.
“In my first week as minister, I had several important meetings where we discussed key tasks we can work on together to benefit everyone,” the message says.
In particular, the minister spoke about a working meeting with the American helicopter manufacturer Bell Helicopter, which is part of Textron and produces modern military helicopters such as the AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom.
According to Sobolev, the company is already planning to invest and manufacture in Ukraine. For its part, the government is ready to support the initiative with effective tools for investors.
“The next step will involve technical consultations and assessments, but this ambitious project could mark a new stage in the development of defense-industrial partnership between Ukraine and the United States,” the minister added.
Sobolev also met with representatives of the diplomatic corps, to whom he presented the priorities of the newly consolidated ministry. He emphasized that his primary aim is to strengthen international cooperation in attracting investment, supporting exports, bringing Ukrainians back from abroad, and training people in new professions.
