During President Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to the Kingdom of Spain, an audience of the Head of State with His Majesty King Felipe VI took place in Granada.
The President expressed his gratitude to King Felipe, the Spanish royal family, and the entire Spanish nation for their unwavering support of Ukraine.
"We appreciate Spain's assistance in Ukraine's struggle for our shared European values, which has been provided from the very beginning of the full-scale invasion of the aggressor state," Volodymyr Zelensky said.
He also separately acknowledged the significant humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian people and the great attention given to Ukrainians who arrived in Spain while fleeing the Russian war.
His Majesty King Felipe VI expressed admiration for the Ukrainian people who are resisting Russian aggression. He said that Spain's support for Ukraine in this struggle is grounded in the fundamental respect for the sovereignty of nations and the inadmissibility of armed aggressions.
