The government of the United Kingdom has expressed a proposal to the German government regarding the conclusion of an agreement that involves increasing the supply of Storm Shadow cruise missiles to Ukraine. This information is reported by the German publication Handelsblatt.

The proposed agreement involves the transfer of Taurus KEPD 350 cruise missiles to the United Kingdom. It is currently unknown whether these will be new missiles or from the inventory of the German Air Force.

In turn, the British government will transfer Storm Shadow cruise missiles from the inventory of the Royal Air Force, which are used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine from front-line bombers Su-24M.

If this agreement is accepted by the German government, Ukraine will be able to receive an additional quantity of Storm Shadow cruise missiles, which have demonstrated excellent capabilities in destroying important targets deep within the enemy territory.

According to the official statement from the manufacturer, the Storm Shadow/SCALP cruise missile has a maximum flight range of 300 km, but according to representatives of the Royal Armed Forces, the missile's maximum flight range is reported to be over 500 km.

It should be noted that missiles of this type are the only long-range air-to-ground missiles in the arsenal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' combat aviation.
