The French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, has arrived in Ukraine for a two-day visit.
According to the programme of his stay, at the invitation of his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sybiha, he will attend the Conference of Ukrainian Ambassadors, meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and discuss further support for Ukraine with the government.
In light of the unprecedented sanctions imposed by France and the European Union against the Russian regime, the minister will discuss France’s support for Ukraine with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, and his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sybiha.
Barrot will also visit the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, emphasizing France’s leading role in ensuring nuclear safety and in the rehabilitation of the ChNPP after it was seized by Russian forces in 2022.
