The French National Assembly (the lower house of parliament) has supported France's strategy for supporting Ukraine and the recently signed security guarantee agreement.

This was reported by Le Figaro.

French deputies held a symbolic vote on the statement by French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal regarding the strategy of assistance to our country and security guarantees.

During his speech, Attal noted that France fundamentally does not reject any options for assisting Ukraine.

"We do not set ourselves any limitations before Russia, which does not set them. To abstain means to shirk responsibility," emphasized the Prime Minister.

The head of government also reminded about the agreement on security guarantees for Ukraine, which was signed by French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He noted that the document is "part of a collective approach" to assisting our country.

Then debates and voting on Attal's statement took place in the National Assembly. After the Prime Minister's speech, the agreement to support Ukraine was supported by a majority of deputies - 372 votes in favor and 99 against.
