During the night of 14 November, units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck the Novorossiysk naval base in Russia’s Krasnodar region, an oil refinery in Saratov region, and a fuel and lubricants storage facility near Engels.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
As part of efforts to reduce the military and economic potential of the Russian aggressor, during the night of 14 November, units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck the Novorossiysk naval base in Russia’s Krasnodar region, the statement said.
Ukrainian weapons were used in the operation, including Neptune missiles and various types of strike UAVs.
Damage has been recorded to valuable port infrastructure and the Sheskharis oil terminal, as well as to a launcher from an S-400 air-defence system and a missile storage facility, followed by detonations and a fire. The extent of the damage is being clarified, the General Staff added.
According to the report, the Sheskharis terminal is one of the largest oil transshipment complexes for crude oil and petroleum products in southern Russia. It is used to supply Russian military groupings engaged in combat operations against Ukraine.
In addition, the Saratov oil refinery in Russia’s Saratov region was struck, with explosions and subsequent fires recorded at the facility. The plant is involved in supplying the Russian occupation army. Damage assessments are ongoing.
The General Staff also reported that infrastructure of the “Kristal Combine” fuel and lubricants storage enterprise near Engels, Saratov region, was hit. Explosions were recorded at the target area, followed by fires on the premises.
