According to the General Staff, it will take two or three months for the Russian invaders to form shock units on the territory of Belarus to try a new offensive. This was announced at a briefing by the Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Olexii Hromov.

According to him, the movement of mobilized Russian servicemen is carried out on the territory of Belarus. In order to prepare the strike force, it is necessary to train these military men, coordinate them within the units, and determine tasks, the representative of the General Staff noted.

"This is not expected in the coming weeks. We expect that it may not be earlier than in two or three months," Gromov said.

  • The General Staff reported that the threat of the resumption of the offensive of the Russian army on the northern front is growing, and this time the direction of the offensive may be changed. In the meantime, British intelligence believes that Lukashenko is simply distracting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
  • According to the General Staff, in the Pinsk and Stolin regions of Belarus, local special services have banned video filming, including car DVRs.
  • On October 29, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, said that the military group in Belarus does not yet look like a strike force, but the situation could change quickly after the Ukrainian Armed Forces de-occupy Kherson.
