The Lithuanian gas transmission company has handed over 55 vehicles and 4 power generators to Ukraine, with a total value of nearly €46,000.
This was reported by LRT.
“It is very important that we can contribute and support Ukraine in its struggle. Under the difficult conditions of war, such equipment is essential for saving lives and ensuring the maintenance and logistics of energy facilities,” said Amber Grid CEO Nemunėnas Biknius.
According to him, the vehicles transferred include both passenger cars and high-mobility off-road vehicles or minivans.
The vehicles were handed over to services that assist the population, as well as to help restore energy infrastructure destroyed or damaged by the war.
According to the company, the used vehicles are between 5 and 11 years old, but are in good condition.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Amber Grid has provided Ukraine with support and humanitarian aid totaling €172,000, the statement said.
