The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has codified and authorized the operation of the domestically produced "Hromylo Optic" unmanned aerial system within the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This was reported by the Main Directorate of Life Cycle Support for Armament and Military Equipment.
The "Hromylo" drones in various modifications have been successfully carrying out missions within the Ukrainian Armed Forces for a long time. They have already destroyed a significant amount of enemy equipment. In response to military requests, the manufacturer has produced larger "Hromylo" models with frames 10 inches bigger. These drones are now capable of carrying explosive charges powerful enough to destroy tanks with enhanced protection and fortified fire positions. These drones are equipped with fiber optic control systems. The drones are fitted with video systems (choosing from daytime, twilight, or night (thermal) cameras), which ensure precise and reliable target identification at any time of the day. The "Hromylo Optic" drones are already in use by military units, with confirmed hits on enemy tanks, armored vehicles, and fire positions.

The "Hromylo Optic" represents modern warfare tools, with major advantages including significant range and high target destruction effectiveness.
"Since the beginning of 2025, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has codified and authorized nearly 40 unmanned aerial systems with fiber optic control channels for operation, including one and a half dozen of them in April. Our manufacturers respond quickly to the challenges of the front. The advantage goes to those who implement innovative solutions faster. We cannot fall into the trap of illusions or underestimate the enemy's technical capabilities, as they are constantly improving technically. We must work faster," said Valerii Churkin, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
