The Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov is likely to be appointed as an ambassador to the United Kingdom, and the head of the State Property Fund Rustem Umerov will likely become the Minister of Defense.
This was reported by the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation, and Customs Policy, Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
"Our former colleague, and now the head of the State Property Fund, Rustem Umerov, will be nominated as the Minister of Defense. He has been in this position for just over a year. I want to highlight that it has been a year without any scandals and with record results for the State Property Fund," Zheleznyak noted.
According to the information provided by the deputy, the rotation within the Ministry of Defense will take place next week.
"In terms of dates, it will be next week, the first week of September," he said.
Regarding the current Minister of Defense, Oleksiy Reznikov, Zheleznyak claimed that he will be appointed as an ambassador, although this will not happen immediately after leaving the Ministry of Defense.
"According to my information, Reznikov will remain as the Minister of Defense and later will go to the UK as an ambassador. That is, if there are no major scandals before that time. Rumors about there being something wrong with the agreement have not been confirmed," the deputy noted.
Zheleznyak stated that on the morning of August 30th, embassies were informed about this rotation.
