The Dutch government will provide Ukraine with an additional €22 million for air defense and cybersecurity, along with around 30,000 sets of military uniforms.
This announcement was made on December 4 by the Netherlands' Foreign Minister, Caspar Veldkamp.
Speaking after the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting, Veldkamp emphasized the importance of strengthening Ukraine's military capacity. He warned that Russia’s actions, such as military build-ups, airspace violations, and acts of sabotage, pose a direct threat to NATO.
"We should be equally concerned about third countries enabling Russia's war machine. This demands a more robust and coordinated response from #NATO and its Allies. Above all, we must stay the course when it comes to supporting Ukraine. There simply is no alternative.," the minister stressed.
The Dutch Ministry of Defense added that the uniforms being sent are surplus from the military's transition to new attire, and these will be repurposed for Ukraine as part of defense assistance.
