Pope Francis urged not to get used to the war and said he was thinking about "dear Ukraine".
The pontiff announced this during the holy mass, which he celebrated in Kazakhstan, informs Vatican News.
I think about the many places suffering from the war, first of all, dear Ukraine. We do not get used to war, we do not put up with its inevitability. We help those who suffer, we insist that efforts are truly made to achieve peace.

The Pope also noted that he learned with alarm that new hotbeds of tension had flared up in the Caucasus region.
And we will continue to pray that in these territories, too, a peaceful settlement and harmony will prevail over discord and that the world will learn to build peace, also limiting the arms race and turning huge military spending into concrete assistance to the population.
