President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a meeting with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi.

The Head of State thanked the High Commissioner for supporting Ukraine.

"We appreciate today's announcement of a new UNHCR assistance package worth USD 100 million to prepare Ukraine for the winter. Considering the constant shelling of energy facilities, this is very important assistance," Volodymyr Zelensky said.

The President emphasized that our country needs additional support to restore destroyed housing and arrange shelters in schools and hospitals so that Ukrainians can return home.

Filippo Grandi recalled that this is his fifth visit to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.

The UN High Commissioner noted that during such visits he aims to show donors what is really happening in Ukraine so that they will continue allocating funds to help Ukrainians. He revealed that he had already visited some of the districts in Kyiv that were bombed last week and the Okhmatdyt children's hospital.

Volodymyr Zelensky and Filippo Grandi praised the launch of a new information portal "Ukraine is home" that, with the support of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, will provide the necessary information to Ukrainians planning to return home.
