President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Samantha Power.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the United States, President Joseph Biden and Congress for the bipartisan support; he also acclaimed the meeting with Samantha Power and leading American energy, financial and insurance companies during his visit to the United States last week.

“I think that the meeting was very important, useful and productive. I think we had a very good conversation about winter and energy, especially with representatives of American companies. Thank you for organizing this meeting,” the President said.

The main topics of discussion with Samantha Power included the implementation of projects aimed at strengthening Ukraine's energy grid, restoring critical infrastructure, enhancing air defense and building school shelters.

“Your support before and during the winter period is very important to us. We are counting on your increased support. I think this is the most important, the biggest priority,” the Head of State noted.

According to Samantha Power, USAID is involved in the renovation of 10,000 school shelters.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the implementation of reforms and support for small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine.
