The Security Service of Ukraine continues to work systematically to neutralize internal threats to state security. Special services officers exposed another collaborator, a resident of Kiliya, Odessa region, for disseminating informational materials supporting Russia's military aggression against Ukraine.
The supporter of the "russian peace" significantly intensified his Internet propaganda with the beginning of a full-scale invasion of the occupying forces in Ukraine. On the instructions of curators from the Russian secret services, the malefactor, through his "posts" on social networks, discredited the Armed Forces of Ukraine and spread hostile propaganda supporting the Kremlin's aggressive policy.
In addition, in pro-Russian publications and reposts, the collaborator openly supported President Putin's aggressive policy toward Ukraine and called for a change in Ukraine's state borders.
Materials confirming his criminal activity were found and confiscated from the malefactor, particularly his administration of a number of groups in the social network banned in our country, the criminal content of which was sent primarily to residents of the south-western region of the Odessa region.
Currently, the said person has been informed about the suspicion under Art. 110 (Encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine), as well as the issue of incrimination of Art. 161 (Violation of equality of citizens depending on their racial, national, religious affiliation, religious beliefs, disability, and other grounds) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The perpetrator was remanded in custody. Further measures are underway to identify his accomplices and other collaborators in the region.
SBU officers carried out measures to expose illegal activities in Odessa region and the operatively investigative unit of the 17th Border Detachment under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor's Office.
