During stabilization measures in the front-line areas of the east, the Security Service exposed two militants of the terrorist organization "DPR".
The perpetrators were detained in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, where they secretly arrived to carry out reconnaissance and subversive activities against the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
ID cards of members of illegal armed formations and an arsenal of automatic weapons and ammunition, disguised in specially equipped caches, were seized from the detainees.
According to the investigation, the perpetrators were two local residents who in 2014 joined the ranks of the terrorist groups "Vostok" and "Slavyanskaya Brigade". Under the leadership of a leader with the call sign "Motorola", they took an active part in combat operations against Ukrainian troops near Kramatorsk.
Being part of the enemy's mortar units, the fighters covered the retreat of the terrorist Strelkov's units from Sloviansk.
Before the start of the full-scale invasion, the aggressors "threw" both attackers into the territory of the region controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. There they were in "waiting mode" for further tasks from their Russian "curators" and tried to hide among local residents.
However, SBU employees worked ahead of time: they established the location and detained the henchmen of the aggressor country.
Among other things, the means of communication they used to communicate with representatives of the occupying groups were found in their possession.
SBU employees of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions carried out measures to expose the militants under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office.
