The Security Service conducted a multi-stage special operation, during which the "uncanned" agent group of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Federation (known as the GRU) was neutralized in Kyiv.
As a result of operational actions, 4 Russian agents were detained. They scouted the Armed Forces' positions, geolocations of strategic objects, and called on Ukrainians to support the occupiers.
The enemy group was formed by the GRU personnel officer, Colonel Vladyslav Donets, to carry out subversive activities against Ukraine.
It has been established that he was part of the occupation group of the Russian Federation in the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions and coordinated the activities of Russian agents.
At the same time, the direct leadership of the group was carried out by the representative of the terrorist organization "LPR", Valentyn Tililim. For communication, previously worked out channels of closed communication were used.
According to the investigation, the agent group was "activated" at the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation. Among its participants, there was a clear division of spheres of responsibility for executing enemy tasks.
Thus, two Kyiv residents scouted the Armed Forces' positions and the location of critical infrastructure facilities. They also collected personal data of current and former Ukrainian military and law enforcement officers.
Another resident of the capital, who turned out to be a former employee of the law enforcement agencies of the Donetsk region, was responsible for informational and subversive activities. The perpetrator spread pro-Kremlin propaganda, including slogans in support of the occupiers.
To "disperse" hostile content, he administered specialized Internet platforms.
In this "direction", he acted together with another group member - the founder of an IT company from Gostomel, who was engaged in the preparation and distribution of materials in which he justified the crimes of the invaders.
Pro-Russian symbols, means of communication and electronic data carriers with evidence of criminal actions were found during searches of the perpetrators' locations.
Currently, the issue of notifying detainees about suspicions under Part 2 of Art. 111 (treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention.
