The Security Service documented the information-subversive activities of one of the famous bloggers who spread Russian propaganda in Kyiv.
The perpetrator was engaged in discrediting servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and employees of law enforcement agencies. To do this, he filmed provocative videos during the movement of military convoys or vehicles of Ukrainian defenders in the territory of the capital region.
In his streams, he insulted our defenders and tried to record their faces and license plates of cars.
He posted the recorded "plots" on his Internet platform and distributed them through social networks.
It was established that destructive content was widely used by Kremlin propagandists to prepare custom broadcasts and fake "news" about the socio-political situation in Ukraine.
Such a provocative video was used by representatives of the special services of the Russian Federation to "disperse" disinformation about the civic position and patriotic sentiments of the residents of the Kyiv region.
In addition, the blogger publicly insulted Ukrainian volunteers and demanded money from them to publish publications supporting the Defense Forces.
During investigative actions at the perpetrator's residence, law enforcement officers discovered computer equipment and a mobile phone from which he administered his Internet resources, spreading hostile propaganda.
Currently, he has been notified of the suspicion under part 1, 2 of Art. 435-1 (insult to the honor and dignity of a serviceman, threat to a serviceman) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of 5 years of imprisonment.
A pre-trial investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
Measures to document illegal actions were carried out by employees of the cyber unit and investigators of the SBU of Kyiv and the Kyiv region under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
