The Ukrainian IT company Logics7 has developed a training complex for training on the Javelin anti-tank missile system in virtual training grounds.

"We have developed the JAVELIN ATGM training complex with MVR technology for training in virtual training grounds and acquiring confident military skills. The JAVELIN ATGM model on which the military train is identical to real weapons," the company explained.

Logics7 explains that MVR stands for Monocular Virtual Reality.

The simulator consists of:

  • A launcher mockup;
  • A full-scale tube mockup;
  • A specialized computer;
  • A 65-inch demonstration screen on a stand.

During operation with the complex, the operator looks through an optical system that displays the battlefield situation. As the complex moves, the image position in the virtual world also changes.

Thanks to this, the operator of the complex can search for targets, aim at the target, lock onto the target, change shooting modes, and conduct a combat missile launch. All of this happens while observing through the monocular optic of the simulator.
