The Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) approved Ruslan Rotan as the acting head coach of the National Team of Ukraine.

As reported on the official website of the UAF, the agreement with Rotan will be valid until the entry into force of the contract with Sergei Rebrov, with whom the administration of the UAF conducts negotiations on behalf of the executive committee.

"The Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association agreed with the proposal of the Committee of National Teams of the UAF to negotiate with Sergey Rebrov on the appointment of him as the head coach of the national team of Ukraine with the conclusion of a contract until July 30, 2024 with the possibility of prolongation by mutual agreement until July 30, 2026," the statement reads. Thus, Ruslan Rotan will prepare the Ukrainian national team for the Euro 2024 qualifier against the national team of England. The game will take place at Wembley Stadium on 26 March.

It is worth noting that Rotan is currently the head coach of three professional teams at once. The 41-year-old specialist also heads the FC Oleksandriya and the Ukrainian youth team.

During his career as a head coach, Ruslan Rotan, at the time of his appointment to the national team of Ukraine, played 39 matches, and won 18 victories.
