Three officials of the Yuzhny port are suspected of taking almost UAH 1.5 million.
This was reported in the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
It is noted that today law enforcement officers reported suspicion to three officials of the state enterprise MTP Yuzhny in possession of almost UAH 1.5 million. Officials' actions are qualified under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
These are the acting director of the enterprise, the chief accountant, and the deputy director. The defendants held these positions at the time of the crime.
According to the investigation, from April to August 2020, despite the restrictions set by the government on the payment of salaries to officials (no more than UAH 47.2 thousand) for the period of quarantine due to COVID-19, the acting director of the "Yuzhny" port provided an extra charge to his salary. His actions, committed by prior agreement with the port's chief accountant and deputy director, led to almost UAH 1.5 million in losses to the state.
