Kadyrov, Prigozhin, and Patrushev pursue their own interests.

People from the inner circle of Russian President Vladimir Putin derive their own benefits from the war in Ukraine. All of them pursue personal interests, including financial enrichment and power building. However, there were ideological representatives of the authorities who wanted to revive the USSR.

Russian journalist Timur Olevsky talked about this in an interview with UNIAN.

“They all have their own interests. Kadyrov has financial interests and to maintain power and subsidies in Chechnya. Prigozhin has billions that he earns by selling Russian people to the war and supplying the army. Now Prigozhin is digging trenches in Belgorod, and the last thing he thinks about is that they will be needed - but a great government contract. Fantastic business - you just dig and get a billion. Patrushev most likely, a man of ideas. He wants to "outplay" the Soviet Union in the form that he imagined - if the KGB ruled the country, and not the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union," Olevsky said.

According to the journalist, people from Putin's entourage have their own local interests. But they all act like a "monolith". Olevsky claims that there are no conflicts between Putin, Kadyrov, Prigozhin, and Shoigu.

They are all within the system and form part of it. The only way to escape is to die or attempt a direct detonation. However, this is the first time anyone will agree to this, because Putin and the people around him are too closely connected with each other. At the same time, each of them can hate associates

"If there is some kind of sect in Russia, powerful, influential, and at the same time dense in their ideas about the structure of the world, which they are simply afraid of and therefore perceive it this way, then this is the FSB. Why are they dense? They are afraid of changes because sane human changes deny their existence. In the normal world, the special services, in the form in which the FSB exists, cannot exist," Olevsky continued.

The journalist said that the FSB often means a collective image, which includes the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian Federation. According to the reporter, plans to seize Ukraine have been developed in the GRU since the collapse of the USSR.

“They have their own psychology, clans, sectarianism. Some people consider themselves elected, and these are quite special services that exist for themselves and not for people. They are slowly going crazy, and we are now seeing the result of this madness,” summed up Olevsky.
