After the battle, Oleksandr Usyk said that he dedicated this victory to Ukraine and the soldiers who are now defending Ukraine from the invaders.

"I want to thank all those who prayed for me. I want to thank God for his help that he gave me today. He gave me a lot of it today. My God is Jesus Christ. Thanks Saudi Arabia.

I dedicate this fight to my state Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to everyone who defends my country, to all of Ukraine.

This is already a history. It will be watched by many generations, especially the round where they tried to beat me hard. But I survived and turned the fight in my favor," Usyk said.

It is worth noting that Oleksandr Usyk not only managed to keep his WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO heavyweight belts but also won the title of champion according to The Ring magazine, which became vacant after Tyson Fury announced the end of a career.

We will remind you, that last fall Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision. According to The Ring, this fight was named the main event of boxing in 2021.
