The government of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has "openly shifted to Russian positions." He does not even hide it, according to the leader of Poland's Civic Coalition, Donald Tusk, as reported by TVN24.
"We are dealing with a government that has openly shifted to Russian positions," he said, adding that Prime Minister Orban himself does not hide this fact.
In particular, Tusk mentioned that Orban's government is blocking decisions that would transfer €800 million to Poland.
"I am angered that at the last minute, when they run after their money and positions for their colleagues, they could not settle such an important issue for us with Orban, such as €800 million for weapons," he said, referring to the government of Mateusz Morawiecki.
Tusk also assured that he would stand firm in the European Council.
"I am convinced that from now on, the majority of leaders will take into account the Polish opinion when it comes to Ukrainian issues and when it comes to Hungary and Orban," he emphasized, adding that his conviction might not significantly change Orban's attitude, as "his relations with Moscow and Putin are organic."
