At the beginning of the visit to Warsaw, the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports for European Integration, Andrii Chesnokov met with the Deputy Director of the Polish Anti-Doping Agency (POLADA) Hubert Dziudzyk.
During the meeting, a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of anti-doping were discussed.
A new stage of long-term and fruitful cooperation with the Polish side was the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the National Anti-Doping Center of Ukraine (NADC) and POLADA, according to which knowledge and best practices are exchanged between specialists in anti-doping activities.
In addition, the Polish side takes an active part in building the institutional capacity of NADC and participates in developing the anti-doping legislation of Ukraine.
On behalf of Vadym Gutzait, Andriy Chesnokov thanked POLADA for the initiative of free testing of Ukrainian athletes attending meetings and competitions in Poland in connection with Russia's military aggression in Ukraine.
As previously reported, more than 20 national anti-doping organizations have already joined such action of solidarity with Ukrainian sports.
Hubert Dziudzik, in turn, assured the Deputy Minister of the readiness of the Polish Anti-Doping Agency to continue helping the national anti-doping community and Ukrainian athletes.
During the meeting, the parties discussed joint steps to strengthen cooperation in the fight against doping in sports and agreed to maintain constant contact between the experts of POLADA, NADC and the Ministry of Youth Sports regarding the implementation of the new anti-doping legislation in Ukraine.
