Serhiy Boyev, Deputy Minister of Defense for European Integration, discussed priorities for 2025-2026 and the cooperation formats between Sweden and Ukraine's defense industry with a Swedish delegation led by Brigadier General Johan Axelsson.

The Swedish government previously announced €63 million in financial aid to Ukraine, with €20 million allocated to support Ukraine's defense industry, following the "Danish model." During the discussions, the Swedish delegation clarified how the funds would be allocated and reviewed Ukraine's priorities for 2025 aid.

Boyev emphasized that priority areas include air defense systems to protect Ukraine’s skies and the formation and equipping of new brigades. The parties also reviewed Sweden's involvement in training Ukrainian military personnel.

"Sweden is our reliable partner, continuing to support us. I am grateful for the investments in artillery systems and invite you to invest in the production of long-range drones as well. We must work together to ensure long-term capabilities to strengthen Ukraine's position," noted Boyev.

The parties also discussed plans for industrial cooperation and the potential for joint production. A key point was the possibility of localizing repairs for Swedish-made equipment to expedite its return to the battlefield.

Several of the discussed projects will be implemented in 2025.
