Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden Ulf Kristersson signed a Cooperation Agreement in the field of security in Stockholm.

During the period of 2024-2026, Sweden will provide military assistance to our country amounting to 75 billion Swedish kronor (approximately 6.5 billion euros), which will roughly amount to 2.2 billion euros per year. The assistance amount will increase over the ten-year term of the agreement.

The military support to Ukraine includes aviation and air defense, armored vehicles, artillery, reinforcement of maritime security, assistance in demining, and drones.

Boris Pistorius noted that some of the weaponry is already prepared for shipment. Additionally, starting from 2025, the delivery of 18 state-of-the-art self-propelled howitzers RCH-155 will commence. Moreover, Germany will finance training courses for Ukrainian technicians.

This agreement was signed in accordance with the Joint Declaration of the G7 adopted on July 12 last year. In total, Ukraine has already concluded 13 bilateral security agreements: with the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Denmark, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, Finland, Latvia, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, and Sweden.
