The governments of Ukraine and the Czech Republic agreed to strengthen cooperation in the fields of youth policy and physical culture, and sports.
This happened during intergovernmental consultations between Ukraine and the Czech Republic with the participation of Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala.
As a result of the intergovernmental consultations, the parties confirmed their intention to strengthen cooperation to provide support to citizens of Ukraine who were forced to leave their homes due to Russian aggression, in particular to young Ukrainians, so that they not only find a safe place abroad but also have protected rights and feel part of society in a new country
Also, Ukraine and the Czech Republic confirmed their readiness to support cooperation between youth centers, youth workers, and young people of both countries to help young Ukrainians mitigate the war's consequences.
In addition, the parties will prepare for signing the Agreement on cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports between the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic and will also coordinate the efforts of specialized institutions and national sports federations to increase sanctioning pressure on the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.
