On the night of December 5, Ukrainian drones attacked the port of Temryuk. According to eyewitness videos analyzed by Astra, a gas terminal at the port caught fire.

The Temryuk seaport is located in the Temryuk Bay of the Sea of Azov. It is owned by the Mechel Group. The port’s website states that its main activities include handling general, bulk (including grain and inert), and liquid cargoes, as well as leasing production and warehouse facilities. In southern Russia, Temryuk is a major export port for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Oil tankers are also sent to foreign markets through this port.

Previously, Ukraine attacked the port of Novorossiysk in the Krasnodar region on November 14 and 25. The November 14 strike damaged an oil depot and the port’s shore facilities. After that, Transneft halted the flow of oil to the port.
