Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Defense of Turkey Hulusi Akar and UN Secretary-General António Guterres signed an agreement on grain export.
Kyiv will not sign a direct agreement with the Russian Federation. It is noted that the same mirror document will be signed by Turkey, the UN and the Russian Federation on July 22.
As the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported earlier, a Ukrainian delegation headed by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kubrakov, arrived in Istanbul on July 22 for talks on solving the problem of Russia's blockade of Ukrainian grain.
"As part of the visit, the Ukrainian side met with the Secretary General of the Organization, António Guterres. The focus of the dialogue is the UN initiative to unblock seaports for food exports and guarantee security for ships," the ministry said in a statement.
It is worth noting that earlier adviser to the head of the President's Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, stressed that Ukraine and Russia would not conclude bilateral agreements. The Presidential Office also assured that the terrorist country of the Russian Federation would not escort vessels with Ukrainian grain, otherwise Ukraine would provide an "immediate military response." In addition, all inspections of transport ships will be carried out by general groups in the waters in the event of such a need.
Recall that the Russian Federation is ready to unblock the export of Ukrainian grain in exchange for lifting sanctions on the grain supply from Russia.
