Ukraine was attacked by 150 drones overnight — the Defense Forces shot down 64, another 62 were lost by location

On the night of May 2, 2025 (starting at 9:30 p.m. on May 1), the Russian forces launched an attack using 150 strike UAVs and other types of decoy drones from the areas of Bryansk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Chauda in Crimea.

The aerial assault was repelled by Ukrainian Defense Forces using aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, and mobile fire groups.

As of 8:00 a.m., 64 Shahed-type strike drones (and other types of UAVs) were confirmed shot down over the east, north, and center of the country.

Another 62 decoy drones were lost by location (without causing any harm).

As a result of the attack, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions were affected.
