The British manufacturers' association Made in Britain supports the "Made in Ukraine" programme, aimed at supporting Ukrainian manufacturers. Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko, and Made in Britain representative George Middleton signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in manufacturing.
Made in Britain will share its experience and explore ways to expand cooperation between Ukrainian and British businesses. Experts from MAP UK & International, a company specializing in international trade consultancy and global supply chain management, will also be involved in this process.
"Great Britain has been actively supporting Ukraine since the early days of the full-scale war. This year, we signed a Free Trade Agreement that cancels tariffs and quotas in bilateral trade until 2029. Now we are moving to a new level of cooperation. The agreement with Made in Britain will ensure that Ukrainian goods are better represented in the British market and will enhance export opportunities for British businesses. This is an important support for the 'Made in Ukraine' programme, launched by President Volodymyr Zelensky this year. It is the first agreement with a similar foreign organization that will help Ukrainian manufacturers enter new markets and support exports of goods produced in Ukraine," said Yulia Svyrydenko.
Made in Britain is an independent industry association of British manufacturers. The community includes over 2,100 companies, 95% of which are small and medium-sized enterprises. The organization promotes British goods by licensing the official Made in Britain quality mark, which helps consumers and businesses identify British-made products.
"The shock challenges that have occurred in global supply chains have significantly increased buyers' attention to local goods. Choosing high-quality products from reliable manufacturers has become the main idea in business in the UK and across Europe. We are excited to collaborate with the Made in Ukraine team to ensure that buyers and consumers can purchase high-quality products," emphasized Made in Britain CEO John Pierce.
"I am pleased to meet with Ms. Svyrydenko and support the Made in Ukraine initiative. We understand the importance of manufacturing for a country's economy, its citizens, and for ensuring the resilience of critical national infrastructure. We see this in the example of the UK, in our international trade and participation in supply chains in different countries around the world. We look forward to developing links between Ukrainian and British businesses next year," added Made in Britain advisor George Middleton.

The "Made in Ukraine" state policy, initiated by the President of Ukraine, aims to attract investments for the development of Ukrainian manufacturers, increase the production of high-value-added goods, and stimulate demand for Ukrainian products. Supporting manufacturers means increasing production, a stable economy, new jobs, revenue for the budget, and support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
