Ukraine plans to involve the Mykolaiv port in the "grain agreement" and increase the range of products for export by sea.
Taras Vysotsky, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, announced this on the air of an information telethon.
According to him, negotiations are currently underway with partners in the "grain agreement" - the UN and Turkey - on its prolongation after mid-March, when the current "agreement" expires.
"We emphasize several critical things for the" grain agreement ". This is the expansion of the geography of shipments from ports. First of all, we are talking about the Mykolaiv port, which was one of the largest in terms of physical volumes of shipments of agricultural products before the war. And it is also important to talk about the expansion nomenclature, that is, a list of agricultural products that can be exported," Vysotsky said.
He stressed that in Ukraine, many more valuable products with added value are produced in addition to grains, oilseeds, and processed products.
"These are products of horticulture, animal husbandry. The world also needs other agricultural products from Ukraine, and it should be included in the" grain agreement," the deputy minister added.
