Representatives of the Ukrainian and French Red Cross met to discuss key directions for collaboration.
“The President of the Ukrainian Red Cross, Mykola Polishchuk, and the CEO, Maksym Dotsenko, held working meetings with the delegation of the French Red Cross, which is visiting Kyiv. During the meetings, they discussed the main areas of cooperation,” the Ukrainian Red Cross reported on Facebook on Thursday.
The parties focused on opening a Ukrainian Red Cross nursing school, developing social projects and initiatives, strengthening capacity to respond to challenges caused by the war, providing humanitarian aid, and educating the population.
The participants also explored possibilities for further support from the French Red Cross for the activities of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
Additionally, the French delegation visited the Kyiv Regional Branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, where they learned about the organization’s work since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and its main activities in the Kyiv region.
