Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko defeated Australian boxer George Kambosos. Thus, the Ukrainian regained the title of world champion in the lightweight division.

The fight took place in the Australian city of Perth. Throughout the bout, the Ukrainian boxer had the advantage, landing many accurate punches on his opponent.

Everything was decided in the 11th round. Lomachenko knocked Kambosos down, but the Australian continued the fight. Lomachenko pinned his opponent in the corner and forced him to kneel. The referee stopped the fight, and Lomachenko won over Kambosos prematurely.

The Ukrainian regained the title of IBF lightweight world champion.

For the Ukrainian boxer, this was his first fight since May 2023 when he lost to American Devin Haney in a bout for the undisputed lightweight world championship.
