During a massive overnight raid on Russian regions, Ukrainian drones struck “civil infrastructure facilities” in Saratov, which were reportedly damaged, according to the region’s governor, Roman Busargin. The governor provided no further details, only noting that emergency services are working at the site.

The target of the Ukrainian drone strike was the Rosneft oil refinery in Saratov, according to Astra, Exilenova+, and several Ukrainian channels citing local social media communities. “Our reporters are currently documenting a fire after the attack in Saratov,” Exilenova+ reported.

This marks the sixth attack on the refinery, which has a design capacity of 140,000 barrels of oil per day, since autumn and the eighth since the start of the year. The Saratov refinery is one of the key suppliers of gasoline and diesel fuel for the European part of Russia. The Ukrainian General Staff stated that the plant, which produces over 20 types of products—including gasoline, fuel oil, diesel, and vacuum gas oil—is “involved in supplying the needs” of Russian forces.

The previous strike on the Saratov refinery occurred on Tuesday, November 11. Astra analysts reported damage to the plant. The governor also mentioned “damage to civil infrastructure facilities” but did not specifically reference the refinery. The Ukrainian General Staff confirmed the strike, noting that a series of explosions and a fire occurred at the facility.
