The volume of Ukrainian exports in October amounted to 9.2 million tons. This is evidenced by operational data of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
According to statistics, the volume of exports of Ukrainian goods in October became the second largest since the beginning of the war. There was more only in September - the October figure was 4.6% lower.
The mining and metallurgical industry experienced the biggest drop in volumes. The export of ore decreased by 286,000 tons compared to September (-21%). Iron was exported by 127,000 tons less than in September (-63%). In absolute numbers, the export of these goods: ore - 1.06 million tons, pig iron - 72.2 thousand tons. For ore, this is the lowest indicator since the beginning of the year.
The only product from the mining and metallurgical complex category, the export of which increased to the pre-war level, is bars (code 7213) - 65 thousand tons.
Agrarians have variable indicators. In October, the volumes of the TOP-3 exported grains looked like this:
- wheat â 1.96 million tons (+9.7%);
- corn â 2.2 million tons (+2.7%);
- rapeseed â 0.669 million tons (-23%).
The drop in rapeseed exports is due to the end of the harvest of this crop.

- the export of sunflower seeds increased by 71.1% - to 308 thousand tons (in September, it was 180 thousand);
- instead, oil exports decreased by 10.3% - to 454,000 tons;

As for the monetary equivalent, despite the drop in volumes, sunflower oil remained the leader in revenue - 502 million dollars. But this is 14.9% less than in September.
And vice versa: despite the nominal increase in the volume of corn exports in money, we have a 2% decrease - to 465 million dollars.
"In general, the value of Ukrainian exports amounted to 3.8 billion dollars. This is 8.2% less than in September. Added to this was a decrease in export volumes, as well as a decrease in world prices for food and industrial goods. We are currently seeing a decline in metallurgy. However, everything is more or less stable among agrarians," explained Deputy Minister of Economy - Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka.
