Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba met with his Swedish counterpart Tobias Billström at the NATO summit, where they discussed Sweden's support for Ukraine's EU and NATO membership aspirations, contributions to Ukraine's air defense, and bilateral cooperation, as reported by Ukraine's foreign ministry.

"I met with my Swedish counterpart Tobias Billström at the NATO summit, which marks Sweden's first since joining the alliance. I am grateful for Sweden's strong support for Ukraine's path towards EU and NATO membership. Sweden will be another strong voice advocating for Ukraine's membership," quoted Ukraine's MFA Kuleba in a Telegram channel on Thursday following the meeting.

According to the minister, discussions focused on Sweden's contribution to Ukraine's air defense, support for EU accession, and bilateral cooperation.

"Given Stockholm's chairmanship in the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) Council of Ministers, I emphasized the importance of the NB8-Ukraine format," added the minister.

The Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) is a format of regional cooperation including Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden.
