The Ukrainian company Boosters, part of the Genesis ecosystem, develops three apps, including the well-known language learning app Promova. Another of its products is the sleep app Avrora, which has generated over $15 million in revenue for the company.

Launched in 2018, Avrora has helped more than 10 million people with their sleep over its five years of existence. In 2020, Avrora became the top sleep app by downloads in the U.S.

Despite its popularity and million-dollar revenue, Boosters decided to sell the app to focus its resources on niches with even greater growth potential.

The app was purchased by American entrepreneur Ken Colbert, who has over 20 years of experience in development and recently founded his own app development company, One Eleven.

‘We plan to continue working with the existing user base of the app and increase the number of downloads to secure Avrora’s place in the top five apps in its niche,’ says Colbert.

The details of the deal have not been disclosed, but it has been announced that Boosters will donate 3.5 million UAH from the deal's proceeds to the charitable initiatives of the 'Children of Heroes' and KOLO foundations.
