Ukraine's parliament has approved a further 90-day extension of martial law and general mobilisation, keeping both measures in place as Russia's full-scale invasion continues.
The Verkhovna Rada voted on Monday, 26 October, to approve two presidential decrees submitted by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The extension of martial law, approved under draft law No. 16182, received the support of 293 members of parliament.
Under the legislation, martial law will be extended for another 90 days, beginning at 5:30 a.m. on 31 October 2026.
Separately, 281 lawmakers voted in favour of draft law No. 16183, extending general mobilisation for the same period, starting on 31 October.
The two measures provide the legal framework for maintaining wartime security restrictions and continuing the mobilisation of personnel for Ukraine's defence forces.
Martial law and general mobilisation were first introduced following Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022 and have been repeatedly extended by parliament.
The latest decisions will keep both measures in effect until late January 2027.
