Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk came out in 1/8 finals tournament WTA 500 in Adelaide (Australia).
In the first round of the main draw, Kostyuk (No. 69 WTA) defeated the tournament host Jaimee Fourlis (No. 162 WTA).
The Ukrainian coped with the Australian in three sets - 1:6, 6:3, 4:6.
The rivals spent 2 hours and 6 minutes on the court. During this time, the Ukrainian tennis player filed right through three times, made eight double faults, and converted six out of 11 breakpoints.
In the 1/8 finals, Kostyuk will meet the winner of the match between Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan and fifth seed Danielle Collins from the USA.
