The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported this with reference to the head of the department Oleksandr Kubrakov.

The departure of two vessels from the port of Chornomorsk, as well as from the port of Odesa starts tomorrow between 5AM and 8AM. After that, the caravan, escorted by a pilot boat, will sail to the ports of destination. On board of NAVI STAR, ROJEN and POLARNET bulk carriers are more than 50 thousand tons of Ukrainian corn within the framework of the “grain initiative”. We hope for the professionalism of all participants. Details will be announced later.

On July 29, Kubrakov announced that 10 ships with Ukrainian grain in the ports of Odessa and Chornomorsk were already ready for shipment.

On August 1, in the morning, the first vessel with Ukrainian food left Odessa since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Dry cargo ship Razoni under the flag of Sierra Leone, is heading to the port of Tripoli in Lebanon with 26,000 tons of Ukrainian corn. On August 3, this ship had already left the Black Sea and passed further through the Bosphorus Strait.

United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that the passage of a ship with Ukrainian bread through the Bosphorus is only the first step toward establishing food security worldwide.
