The systematic and constant nature of Russian strikes on Ukraine clearly indicates that Moscow disregards the diplomatic efforts of its partners.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Facebook, where he also released a video of the aftermath of the overnight Russian attack.
"Last night, the Russian army continued to use strike drones against Ukraine. In total, there were 74 drones, 54 of which were Shahed type. A targeted attack on Kharkiv – at least 14 drones. Unfortunately, there were hits. There are casualties, including three children. Everyone is receiving the necessary assistance," Zelensky noted.
He added that there were also strikes on Odessa and Sumy regions. Additional targeted hits and damage to energy facilities were recorded: in the Sumy region, an FPV drone hit a substation, and in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, an artillery strike damaged a power line. Nearly 4,000 subscribers in two regions were left without electricity.
As Zelensky stated, "Russian airstrike bombings continue – just against our Sumy region, and only from yesterday to this morning, the Russians used nearly 50 guided air bombs."
In his view, "this systematic and constant nature of Russian strikes clearly indicates that Moscow disregards the diplomatic efforts of its partners. Putin does not even want to ensure a partial ceasefire. There is a need for new and tangible pressure on Russia to put this war on a course toward its end."
Zelensky emphasized, "We should not wait until April 11, when it will be a month since Russia’s 'no' in response to the American proposal to cease fire. Action must be taken as soon as possible. We are ready to work with all our partners in America, Europe, and the world as constructively as possible to achieve the necessary result – a fair and lasting peace."
