President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the Ministry of Defense is preparing updates to key defense-planning documents and emphasized stable funding for drone programs and support for combat brigades.
He wrote this on Telegram.
“It is already time to revise the fundamental documents concerning Ukraine’s defense, including the national defense plan. The course of hostilities has shown what must become the renewed priorities,” Zelensky noted.
According to him, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal will prepare detailed proposals for the changes and present them to the Cabinet of Ministers for approval.

The President added that the minister reported on his trip to Mykolaiv and Kherson regions and the protective measures being implemented there, with the strengthening of critical infrastructure being a separate topic.
In addition, he stressed that the government and the Ministry of Defense are fully providing the necessary funding for procurement, including drones for combat brigades.
“Yesterday, another monthly tranche of subsidies for combat brigades, totaling 4.3 billion UAH, was financed. An additional 8 billion UAH was also allocated for the Drone Line,” the President concluded.
