Ukraine has fully fulfilled its commitments under the European Freyja anti-ballistic missile project. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this during a conversation with journalists.

According to the president, development of the system is ongoing, but the current situation requires a significant acceleration of all processes. Alongside France, Norway is one of the key partners involved in implementing the programme.

All components of the FP-7.X interceptor missile, developed to intercept ballistic missiles under the Freyja project, are manufactured in Ukraine, with the exception of "one component".

"Regarding the Freyja anti-ballistic missile project, Ukraine has done what it needed to do. What our partners need to do — ten countries are participating — is still in progress," the president said.

Zelensky noted that he had discussed the development of the air and missile defence system with French President Emmanuel Macron.

The Ukrainian president urged international partners to accelerate their respective processes so that the joint defence system can move to practical testing as soon as possible.
