The Ukrainian plant-based alternative brand claims that this is the first product of its kind in Ukraine and the world.

This limited edition release is in honor of Independence Day and is entirely charitable.

"Ukrainians can do anything. Even make lard from plants. It's not only 100% plant-based, but also 100% charitable. All earnings generated from the sales of the lard will be contributed to the 'ЦВІТ' fund. We will purchase two drones for our defenders: two DJI Mavic 3 drones for the 126th Brigade and the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade," stated in the release.

"The tradition of consuming salo (lard) has existed in Ukrainian culture since ancient times. However, we are continuing this tradition in a new, modern world where there is no need to resort to animal slaughter to make a bacon sandwich. Now, this traditional product takes on new meaning in a modern and more humane world," commented Roman Kvashenko, the founder of Wanted Vegan.

The plant-based bacon can be ordered through this link, with 100 grams of the product priced at UAH 200. All shipments will be made on August 28th.
